With the end of the financial year fast approaching, now is a great time to top up your super by taking advantage of the government super co-contribution offer.
Until 30 June 2009, you may be eligible for a government co-contribution of up to $1,500 if you earn less than $60,342 and make after—tax contributions.
Making contributions to your super is easy—you can make BPAY payments online and over the phone or you can send us a personal cheque.
Don’t leave it until it’s too late—we need to receive your contribution cheque by 30 June 2009 and BPAY payments by 25 June to count towards your contributions for this financial year.
To find out more, and to check if you’re eligible, see the co-contribution fact sheet.
Did you know—the government’s temporary reductions on the co-contribution matching rate and maximum co-contribution are proposed to start from 1 July 2009. So now there’s even more reason to make an after-tax contribution in 2008/09.
