Deduction of insurance premiums

Due to a recent systems error, we were not able to deduct insurance premiums for the months of August and September.

The systems error was detected in early September and has now been fixed.

Insurance premiums for the month of August were deducted from members’ accounts on Thursday 11 October and we expect that premiums due for September will be deducted from members’ accounts by Friday 19 October 2007.

We have been working with the insurer, AIG Life, and can confirm that members’ insurance cover has not been jeopardised by this incident.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and wish to assure all members that there has been no adverse effect on their account balances.
